The Absinthe Grüne Fee is the 'little sister' of Mata Hari and comes like this from the Old Vienna Liqueur Museum, in which the unique tradition of the recipe was kept since 1881. The Green Fairy is a very successful combination of an absinthe from old original recipes.
The Grüne Fee stands out by its full, slightly sweet flavor, which is at least caused by the addition of violet roots and cinnamon. This Absinthe contains no anise, which is offset by the relatively high proportion of wormwood oil. Due to slightly lower alcohol content compared to Mata Hari Absinthe allowed these to benefit from a further vial before the consumer goes into the full depths of his absinthe intoxication. The addition of water causes a nice green opalescent cloudiness.
